Wander App
Branding + UI Design
Wander App is an application I created that allows a user to look for places they would like to visit according to their preferences.

Challenge
Creating project using a design system where I chose to create the branding and another asset as part of the system where I chose to do an application design.
Results
An application that has a brand concept, is new, fresh, and authentic with a matching user interface.
A user can select their interests and once they do, the application looks for any location that fits into the categories and descriptions of their preferences. As the user continues to use the application and chooses which places they visited, the application collects that data and continues to customize and curate for the user different locations based off of that information.
The name Wander and symbol of the logo represents a butterfly wandering from place to place, hence, the concept of the app.
Process
Conceptualization: Define the primary purpose of the app and the specific problem it solves for users. Identify the target audience and understand their needs, preferences, and pain points. Conduct thorough research to identify existing apps in the same domain.
Analyze competitors to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and user feedback. Identify unique features or improvements that can set your app apart. List the essential features that address the identified problem and cater to user needs. Prioritize features based on their importance and potential impact on the user experience.
Brand Identity Design: Determine the core values and personality traits that you want your app to convey. Consider how these values align with the preferences of your target audience. Gather visual elements, color palettes, and design inspirations that reflect the desired brand identity. Use the mood board to guide the visual aspects of the brand. Develop a unique and memorable logo that represents the app's identity.
Create other visual assets, such as icons and illustrations, that maintain a consistent brand image. Choose fonts and colors that align with the brand values and contribute to a cohesive visual identity. Ensure that selected typography is readable and complements the overall design.
User Interface (UI) Design: Create wireframes to outline the basic structure and layout of the app. Focus on user flow and the placement of key elements. Consider the user journey and how different features will be navigated. Translate wireframes into high-fidelity visual designs.
Apply the chosen brand identity elements to the UI, including colors, typography, and visual assets. Gather feedback from potential users. Iterate on the design based on feedback to enhance usability and overall user satisfaction.
Development Preparation: Document design specifications and guidelines for developers, including details on colors, fonts, and interactive elements. Ensure that the design is scalable and adaptable to different screen sizes.
Conclusion
Wander app is an innovative solution for users to find places catered to their likes in a feasible manner.
